The art of auto-criticism

Not everyone has the ability to make a good joke about themselves, point out the dark parts.

You need extra dose of confidence and to be able to be the first to criticize yourself.

Well I think when it comes to have a laugh making fun of themselves, English people certainly win...

Well-known for their British humor and they do have the merit.I saw this witty funny postcards being sold in a souvenir shop, and I thought it might be interesting to share them with you…

The Scissor Sisters Get the Red Out

The Scissor with Motorola painted yesterday London's Trafalgar Square 'Red' on Saturday. The group played a gig in honor of the Bono-sponsored charity campaign (Product) Red, which is aimed at getting consumers and corporations involved in the fight against AIDS in Africa.

I had a really great time. Dragqueens, Punks, etc.. everywhere. A different atmatmosphere invaded Trafalgar Sq.

The hightest moment was at the end when a group of fans entered Trafalgar´s fountains...and the group got crazy such enthusiasm and played 2 more songs... It was a big show.

In the night,

in the night, fever...

Saturday night fever, a movie that is undoubtedly an icon of the 70's. One of the movies with the best quotes ever... and the soundtrack .just hilarious... Jon Travolta at his best... with his massive hair and his fashionable clothes... and the way he moves ... eh eh eh ... apparently could drive any girl at that time crazy. What a cool bloke!!

Why good movies always start late in the night ... It was really cool to stay in the living room with all the flatmates... no seats left in the couch... till 2:30 am.

Yep ... It’s 11:00 am and I confess I am struggling to keep me awake at my job... ehehe. Still think it worthed for all the fun... well maybe I'll have a different opinion later in the afternoon.

Prague

Holidays in Prague

I can´t wait... I am so excited ... I am really flying to Prague and meet "my dear Portuguese friends" ... It´s going to be great fun.

Trip To Canterbury

'There is no lovelier place in the world...and I have seen Venice too.' - Virginia Woolf [1904]

I really liked it too... it´s a small village with one of the most important english cathedrals ... very cosy...
I learnt that in the cathedral there are even songs (religious music set in a room where people are suppossed to pray) ... I almost got into one and... Thanks God I didn´t.... it lasts 45 minuts ..and gess what? nobody can leave the room before the end... YAP...they lock the place... Odd isn´t it?

Canterbury, England's most famous cathedral city of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and now a UNESCO world heritage site sits on the River Stour in one of the most attractive corners of rural Kent.

It is easily reached by road, rail or sea, and has been welcoming visitors for thousands of years.
